Value for Money and the Role of Tenants

Value for Money has become a priority for the Social Housing Sector in Wales.  Landlords need to make the best use of available resources to deliver the best possible services and outcomes for tenants. As housing organisations focus more proactively on achieving and demonstrating value for money, what role could tenants play?

On this course you will

  • Examine what is meant by Value for Money (VfM)
  • Understand the drivers for VfM in Social Housing in Wales
  • Explore the role tenants play in delivering and demonstrating VfM
  • Identify what needs to be in place within the organisation for tenants to look at VfM effectively

Learning outcomes

At the end of the session delegates will be able to:-

o   Define what is meant by value for money

o   Outline the role tenants can play in assessing and evidencing value for money
