Dr. Steffan Evans, Bevan Foundation
Nearly 1 in 4 people in Wales live in poverty. Join Dr Steffan Evans of the Bevan Foundation to hear more about the extent of the problem and to share your ideas about what can be done to solve it. At this session participants will get to hear about the Bevan Foundation's innovative work on the Welsh Benefits System and be provided with an opportunity to share their views on how people living with disabilities and low income families in Wales are provided with support.
Richard Lloyd, First Choice Housing Association
An overview of the benefits of cross sector collaboration focusing on a fully integrated smart home project to promote digital inclusion and encourage innovative approaches in social care in order to provide services more effectively, efficiently and to increase dignity, choice and independence for individuals.
Richard will also give an insight into First Choice Housing Association’s collaborative approach to future technologies including a strategy to deliver future ‘off-site’ manufactured homes.
Networking and sharing good practice and experiences with other delegates
The popular TPAS Cymru Disability Network is for tenants, staff, carers and anyone else interested in disability Issues affecting people living in social housing in Wales.
