Video Participation - Realising the Power of Video - COLWYN BAY

Video is THE channel of choice for people today. It can be a powerful tool for communicating important issues, gathering feedback and developing pride in the community. Nothing can capture the ‘community voice’ better than video, yet it still remains an underused tool across the housing sector in Wales. TPAS Cymru has produced this new course to help fill this gap.

Aim:
This interactive training day will equip participants with the knowledge and the practical skills to make and edit simple video using smartphone/tablet technology as an effective method of participation and engagement.

What this course includes:

  • The underpinning knowledge of why video is such a powerful tool for engagement.
  • The benefits gained by the individual, the community and the organisation.
  • The ‘How to’ of making videos using a smartphone/ipad. Including the do’s and don’ts and editing!
  • An opportunity to ‘test drive’ various equipment and make your own videos on the day.
  • How to use video in social media

Who should attend this course?

This course is for staff, tenants or community members interested in learning a new and effective method of engagement.
