TPAS Cymru strengthening its NetZero Engagement with Hannah Richardson joining the team

As Hannah joins TPAS Cymru this week, she outlines her goals and how her background will strengthen the team

It’s been a great start to my time at TPAS Cymru and an absolute pleasure to get to know those who make up this amazing team!

For my own background, I come from sunny California and moved to Cardiff in 2020 to pursue my Masters in Social and Public Policy (an interesting time to move to a new country!). Having Welsh family scattered all around Wales, I decided to stick around and call Cardiff my home! Since graduating, I’ve worked for a public policy research program that is interested in seeing how Brexit has impacted people’s lives, looking at topics ranging from community engagement to how the agricultural sector has changed since Brexit’s implementation. Back in California I studied politics and leadership and was a part of a few organizations that were dedicated to sparking new conversations in long-existing communities. I love the excitement and refreshing feeling that comes with innovation and changes in the world we know today!

Though I’m based in the south Wales office, I can’t wait for my future trips up to north Wales to see the beautiful scenery and meet tenants and members! The whole of Wales has captured my heart, and I have a passion for meeting and getting to know those who make up this country. My role in TPAS Cymru as the Net Zero Engagement Officer will keep me busy while I look at decarbonation and connecting this with housing. In my spare time, I’m an avid reader and am currently trying to learn to knit in preparation for the fall! I’m eager to learn from those who are a part of the TPAS Cymru community and am always an email away if anyone wants to share any ideas or insights.
