Decarb Week: How Housing can lead Wales into a lower carbon world

Monday 19th April: 11:00 - 12:30

In this flagship opening event of our Decarb themed week, Arup Group and Community Housing Cymru will set out the case for why housing is key to decarbonising Wales. The challenges are big, but so are the rewards. This is more than just insulation and draught-excluders, it’s a change to explore and rethink what our communities will look like going forward.

We will delve into the key issues relating to the decarbonisation agenda and look at how social housing plays a crucial role in contributing to these changes. There will be a chance for questions and discussion with the panel.

This is for everyone in Housing – both tenants and people working in housing.  We will try and keep jargon to a minimum and really explore what the challenge is and what it means to you.

Decarb is massive for housing, our communities and for all of Wales, this is not a session to be missed!

Guest Speakers:

1.    Chris Jofeh - Arup Group

2.    Bethan Proctor - Community Housing Cymru (CHC)

Cost: Free for tenants, £29 for staff & £89 non-members
