NEW: Hazards Response Rule - Staff Forum

Venue: Cardiff City Centre - Unite Building, 1 Cathedral Road, Cardiff CF11 9SD

Thursday, 19th February 2026: 9:45am* – 1.00pm (*session starts at 10am)

Be part of this essential in-person forum to explore solutions to some of the anticipated challenges of implementing the new Hazards Response Rule. Join others in similar roles to talk openly with peers and explore what will work and what will make a real difference to tenants whilst meeting compliance expectations.

We’ll examine some of the likely implementation ‘pinch points’ and facilitate discussions to enable delegates to share practical ideas to take away.

Key areas we’ll focus on will include:

  1. Assessing ‘imminent harm’& triaging hazards with Tenants – getting the right information from Tenants to assess individual circumstances and vulnerabilities.
  2. Access – ensuring access to Tenant’s homes to meet both compliance timescales and tenant’s needs.
  3. Written summary plans (where full repairs cannot be completed within emergency/urgent timescales) - What should you cover, formats and what will Tenants need to know.

This forum will enable you to network, share thoughts and ideas, ask questions and share approaches and practice with other delegates present. It is exclusively for staff from our TPAS Cymru member organisations.

Who’s the session for? – this forum is designed for staff with responsibility for related areas such as asset management, compliance, repairs, complaints and service improvement.

What to know:
  • This is not a formal training session, it is a facilitated workshop forum designed to share learning, and to explore solutions with colleagues from across the sector.
  • The session starts prompt at 10am – there will be plenty of tea/coffee and breakfast pastries available from 9:45am.
  • As the session will finish by 1pm lunch is not provided – but there’s a great café in the Unite building you can use.
  • The venue is just a 14-minute walk from Cardiff Central Station, or the nearest car park is at Sophia Gardens (pay & display).
  • To ensure balanced participation and meaningful discussion, initially, attendance is limited to up to four staff members per organisation.

Places are limited so do book your place now, don’t miss out:
