Regulatory Consultation Workshop - Staff Session

Are you interested in influencing the way Housing Associations in Wales are regulated or just want to find out more about the subject?

Housing Associations in Wales are regulated by the Welsh Government to make sure they provide good quality homes and high quality and improving services to tenants and others who use their services. How regulation works is set out in: ‘The Regulatory Framework’.

The Welsh Government is now seeking the views of tenants and other stakeholders as part of a consultation process about proposed changes to some parts of The Regulatory Framework.

To help feed-in the views of tenants and our members, TPAS Cymru is holding informal consultation workshop events for tenants and staff to look at the proposed changes. We will collate the views and reflect them in our response to the consultation.

These online events will be hosted by us and will look at the key proposed changes.  These are detailed below but attendees do not need to be experts in the workings of the Regulation Framework!

1. Draft Regulatory Statuses - how the regulators could describe, in future, the judgements given to Housing Associations about how well they comply with regulatory standards
2. Draft Regulatory Standards - suggested ‘Standards of Performance’ (to be known as Regulatory Standards).

These sessions are free for TPAS Cymru members. There are 3 identical sessions planned - Attendees only need to attend one of these events!  Choose which is most convenient for you.
