Recently, the Welsh Government have been working to propose policy changes
The tragic death of Awaab Ishak - a two-year-old who died from exposure to mould in his social housing - has deeply affected us all. It’s a powerful and painful reminder of why safe, healthy homes must be a basic right for everyone.
Recently, the Welsh Government asked for feedback on proposed changes to the Welsh Housing Quality Standards, which will provide more assurance and strengthen housing standards.
As the voice of tenants in Wales, TPAS Cymru consulted tenants on their views on these proposed changes via a Mini Tenant-Pulse to ensure that their voices are heard. Over 370+ tenants from all 22 local authority areas in Wales responded, and in this report briefing, we will share the key themes that emerged.
Join us to hear the latest on what matters to tenants and what they need from their landlord. It’s a debrief not to miss!
