Wednesday 23 August 10.30 – 12pm

We’re adding an extra FREE Tenants Network in August.  Please join us if you can to hear from  Mike Corrigan, Welsh Government who will give you information, and ask you questions about some of their proposals around this important subject - Building Safety in Wales.

The Safer Buildings in Wales White Paper places resident safety and wellbeing at the heart of the Welsh Government’s building safety reforms. These reforms cover all multi-occupied residential buildings in Wales.

As part of their proposals, they will place requirements on those responsible for a building’s safety during occupation to engage with residents in a proactive, meaningful and collaborative way. This will mean requirements to ensure residents are supplied with building safety information and will also have the right to obtain further building safety information on request. Residents will also be supported to understand their own responsibilities to keep their building safe for themselves and their neighbours.

As the Welsh Government develops policy around these proposals it is important that they understand and consider the views of residents. They would like to consult members of TPAS Cymru’s Tenant Network for their insights on some of the proposals.
