New Vacancy: Engagement & Events Partner (North Wales)

Express views, engage in discussion, and speak about general topics, e.g. in a meeting, or in a one-to-one situation. You may turn to English when dealing with complex situations or terminology. Please note we have an in-house translator to support our written work.
Who are we?
TPAS Cymru is a not-for-profit organisation, part funded by Welsh Government. For 35 years, we have worked across Wales in developing effective tenant engagement and tenant voice in housing through training, support, practical projects and policy development. We love what we do, and we are proud of our work.
Background to this role
Across Wales, there are 222,000 social housing households (Council housing and Housing Associations) and 230,000 private renters.
At TPAS Cymru, we want the voice and experiences of tenants to be at the heart of plans and heard in decision making both locally and at national level.
Our Engagement & Events Partner role
As the Engagement & Events Officer you will develop, organise and deliver events online and face to face including training and briefings, you will run information exchange events, focus groups, and influence landlords and Government. You need to be confident working with a wide range of people and diverse communities in Wales.
Contract type: Permanent
Hours: 21 hours per week (option to extend to 28 hrs /4 days pw with additional duties for right candidate)
Salary: £22,170 for 21 hours per week. (days/hours of work to be agreed with candidate)
(For reference, the full-time equivalent would be £36,950)
Location: Flexible - Hybrid: home / office and out with regional members on occasion.
In addition to flexibility to work form home we have an office base in Colwyn Bay that can be used throughout the week. There’s an expectation that you will meet at regular intervals with your line manager to discuss project work. There is occasionally travel across Wales.
We have a very good holiday allowance, 5% pension contribution, group life cover, ethical culture.
