Don’t miss our Spotlight on Local Authority Housing Network – a free online event for our local authority (LA) members, which is open to staff, tenants and elected members.
The session will focus on sharing the latest updates on what is happening in LA housing across Wales and include hearing from a fantastic mix of guest speakers. There will also be opportunities to network, share practise and learn from others.
Guest speakers confirmed include:
Robin Staines – Welsh Government
Robin will give an update on the Welsh Government's Scale and Pace project, which assists and supports local authorities to build new social housing.
Jim McKirdle – Welsh Local Government Association (WLGA)
Jim will give an update on all the news relevant to Local Authority Housing Departments
Gaynor Toft, Head of Housing & Public Protection at Pembrokeshire County Council
Gaynor will share insight and good practice around how Pembrokeshire CC are balancing the requirements to build new stock whilst maintaining existing stock and planning for the new Welsh Housing Quality Standards (WHQS) 2023
