This is what Tenants thought about Welsh Housing Quality Standards (WHQS)

Welsh Government have launched their report on Tenants views of Welsh Housing Quality Standards

Welsh Government asked us to share a survey with you in September 2020, so that they could help to capture tenant’s awareness of WHQS and to help inform the second phase of the standards.

The aims of this research were also to gain a broader understanding about acceptability of work to decarbonise homes and to measure the importance of the current WHQS criteria.

1,016 tenants responded to the survey, 945 of which were social housing tenants.

44% of respondents said that they had never heard of WHQS and a majority emphasised that they would be happy for both minor and substantial work to be done in their homes to increase fuel efficiency.
