This interactive and accessible training session will give you a clear, practical overview of the basics of Housing Associations in Wales,  how they operate, who they are accountable to, and the vital services they provide.

During the session we will be looking at: 
  • What are Housing Associations and who are they answerable to.
  • The services do they provide and to who.
  • Finance basics - Where they get their income from and what they spend it on.
  • The risks and challenges Housing Associations facing now and, in the future.
  • The links to Welsh Government and other sector organisations.
  • Tenant Engagement expectations.
  • Understanding some housing jargon.

This course is ideal for:

  • Anyone new to Housing Associations
  • Tenants who want to better understand how their landlord operates
  • Housing Association staff at any level
  • Staff from organisations working alongside the social housing sector in Wales

Whether you're completely new to the topic or simply want to strengthen your understanding, this session will leave you better informed, more confident, and equipped with practical knowledge you can use in your role.

  • This is an online interactive training workshop via Zoom 
  • The session will not be recorded 
  • The delegate rate is for one person not a group booking – each attendee needs to register individually.

  • Written confirmation by email is required for all cancellations.  Bookings cancelled before the cancellation date will be refunded. No refunds will be processed after this date.
  • Registered delegates who do not attend the event will be liable for payment in full unless written communication is received by the cancellation date.
  • If you are unable to attend, you can send a substitute delegate at no extra cost.  All substitute delegates must be notified to [email protected].If substitute changes are made after the cancellation date, we cannot guarantee we will be able to meet any specific needs, e.g. dietary. Do contact us beforehand to check.
  • Once we have received your cancellation, we will forward you a confirmation of your cancellation.
TPAS Cymru Right to Cancel
We aim to make sure that all online events run as planned. However, there may be times when, due to circumstances beyond our control, we have to cancel an event. Should this be the case we will give you as much notice as possible. If you have already paid for the cancelled event we will give you a full refund. Should we run the event again, we will give you priority.
