All Wales Officers Network 2019

Recharge your superhero engagement powers

Our all Wales officers network day is a place where everyone working in Tenant & Community engagement can find out ideas, hear about the latest thinking and practice and recharge their superhero engagement powers. It’s a space where we can ask questions, share experiences and knowledge, swap hints and tips and make new contacts. It’s somewhere that all of us can come to network, share ideas and information.

We’ve always known that it’s the amazing mix of people who take part in our joint network days  that make them fantastic, so if you’re interested in hearing from others from different organisations or if you want to share ideas, please come along and get involved.

The day will include the following:

  • Good practice case study examples from guest speakers
  • Networking sessions based on the latest key themes, including:
  • Behavioural Insight/’Nudge’ - Could it help us get more people involved? Explore how we can use what we know about how people behave and think to find ways to encourage them to get involved. Have you tried using ‘nudge’?
  • Evaluation & Feedback – how are you evaluating the difference your engagement activities are making? How do you demonstrate ‘outcomes’ are being delivered?  How do you provide feedback about the difference engagement is making?
  • Asset Based Approaches – does this method work for both Tenant and Community Engagement? How can this approach be used? What to think about.

Also, if you fancy showing off your superhero work by sharing projects you have been involved with you can, as there will be opportunities to present and try out a lightning talk ‘PechaKucha’ style!  (PechaKucha is a presentation style in which 20 slides are shown for 20 seconds each (6 minutes and 40 seconds in total. This format keeps presentations concise and fast-paced).

Do let us know if you want to speak.

This is a TPAS Cymru member only event, suitable for all staff.

PLEASE NOTE - last year’s event was sold out so make sure you book your place soon via the online system below

We hope to see you there.

Bring along your superpowers of knowledge, experience, enthusiasm, openness and the willingness to listen to others and figure things out together - No superhero suits required.

If you want accommodation at the venue the night before, as your superpower isn’t coping with early starts, we have arranged a corporate deal with the hotel - Bed and breakfast for £90/night.  If anyone wants to book, please contact the Metropole direct and say it’s for the TPAS Cymru network on the following day.
