Better Digital Engagement for 2026: Skills, Content and Confidence for Housing – Session 1: How Digital and Traditional Media Are Changing and Why We Need to Adapt

Wednesday 25th of February 1:30 – 2:30pm

Better Digital Engagement for 2026: Skills, Content and Confidence for Housing

Digital engagement is no longer an add on for the housing sector, it’s central to how tenants and communities access information, form opinions, and participate meaningfully.

Our habits around consuming social media content or even staying up to date with news are shifting fast, expectations are rising, and new tools (including AI) are changing how content is created and shared.

This session is the first in a series focused on digital engagement in the housing sector.

This is the first session in a series of events focused on helping the housing sector understand, evaluate, and build confidence with digital engagement in 2026.

Session details:

Media consumption in Wales is changing rapidly and not always in the ways we assume. This session sets the foundation for the whole series but also works as a stand-alone event for those interested in understanding more about the media landscape and how digital platforms are used.

In this session, you will:

  • Get a clear picture of how tenants are accessing information/news, and WHERE
  • Learn how the media landscape has changed and how YOU can get messages to your audience
  • Be provided with insights into demographic and behavioural shifts in online media use
  • Understand why current engagement approaches need to evolve
  • Case Studies: see what works and what doesn’t and what’s happening in the sector
