Meet the Regulatory Board for Wales (RBW) and how you can influence and shape Welsh housing policy

Thursday, 6th May: 10.00am -11.30am

Free session for TPAS Cymru members

Ever heard of the RBW?   The RBW is an independent board that advises the Housing Minister on the performance of the Housing Regulator and the wider registered social landlord sector. They have a very important role in Welsh housing. They have previously produced reports such as an independent review of tenant involvement.

The RBW has recently appointed a new Chair (Deep Sagar) and are revamping their strategy and communications. Therefore, we asked if the new Chair and some Board members could come along to a TPAS Cymru session for tenants and officers to learn more and input into the RBW’s work. Also present will be attendees from Welsh Government’s Regulation Policy team.

Meeting format:

  1. Meet the RBW Board members
  2. What is the RBW and its mandate?
  3. What has RBW been doing and what does it have planned?
  4. Facilitated interactive session on current tenant issues.
  5. Final Q&A/Comments

This session is aimed at tenants with an interest in housing policy, regulation, and scrutiny. Housing staff will learn what the focus of RBW is going forward and how that could impact their work.
