Mould & Condensation: How to get your communications right for tenants

Wednesday 2nd February 2022: 10.30 – 12.30

Back due to popular demand!

We are repeating this session which follows on from our latest Tenant Pulse report findings, where 60% of tenants stated they had damp or mould in their homes.

It is fair to say, this particular finding gained the biggest reaction from the sector, some agreeing or disagreeing.  It is however accepted that it’s a broad category from simple mildew through to serious health hazards.   The key to this is tenant awareness of the differences; how tenants can combat damp and condensation etc.

We are re-running this event to share some practical examples from across the UK and provide opportunities to chat to other staff from across the sector about what they are doing. This is primarily aimed at housing staff across multi-discipline area from maintenance & repairs, contact centers, communications, and tenant engagement. It is not a technical session.

It is a mix of best practice examples, networking opportunity and opportunity to discuss specific subjects via breakout rooms:

  1. Communicating the different types of damp, mould and condensation
  2. How to communicate effective preventative communications and reassurance communications
  3. How to achieve more inclusive communications or specific audiences. ie Plain language, Different Cultures
  4. How people communicate with tenants re how they manage damp and mould complaints and investigations
  5. What techniques have worked in prevention, communication and best practice.
Cost:
Members £29+VAT
Non-Members: £49+VAT
