Regulation of Housing Associations in Wales Update: Meeting the standards for Tenant Engagement

Thursday, 26th January: 10:00am – 11:30am (Zoom Webinar)

Housing Association regulation in Wales changed in December 2021 with the introduction of a new set of ‘Regulatory Standards’ which HA’s need to meet. These included clear standards around Tenant Engagement and what is expected of Housing Associations in terms of hearing the tenants voice.

12 months on, how is regulation working now and what are the regulators seeing, particularly in terms of tenant voice?

At this webinar we’ll be joined by Ian Walters, Head of Regulation Strategy and Policy at the Welsh Government, who will provide an overview of what the regulators are seeing and expecting to see, with a focus on what this means for tenant engagement.

During the webinar we’ll cover the following:

  • Regulatory Standards around Tenant Engagement – what have the regulators seen over the last 12months
  • Going Forward - What the regulators expect to see in terms of demonstrating hearing the tenants voice
  • How HA’s will need to continue to demonstrate they are meeting Tenant Engagement related ‘Regulatory Standards’.
Who should attend?

The webinar is suitable for – Tenants, Staff, Board members

Cost
  • Tenants: FREE
