Wednesday 11th June: Balancing Affordability & Sustainability
10.00AM – 11:15 AM: Powering Net Zero: Getting Paid and Getting Smart
Achieving Net Zero in Wales will require significant investment over the next decade. With limited budgets and rising expectations, the big question is: How do we decarbonise affordably? Tenants are increasingly worried about the financial implications - will this drive-up rents or bills? And for landlords, it raises tough choices about what might need to give to fund green upgrades.
This session explores innovative ways to help decarbonise homes. From getting rewarded for generating your own energy to rethinking how we fund and manage upgrades, we will look at practical models that offer a return - not just a cost.
If you are looking for fresh, practical ideas on making Net Zero work for everyone, this session is for you.
